TSA line of Takahashi triplet apochromats. The color free images
produced will delight the lunar, planetary and deep sky observer
with very high contract images with pin point stars.
The compact size, less than 23?with
the lens shade retracted, makes the TSA-102 the perfect airline
ready apochromat. The TSA-102S is great for eclipse expeditions or
transport to remote sites.
Not only is the TSA-102S a great
visual instrument, it can be converted into a flat field f/7.84 or
an f/5.98 wide field imaging platform for a CCD camera or digital
SLR. The addition of the optional camera angle adjuster allows the
image to be rotated 360?without loss of focus. The camera angle
adjuster is also very handy for visual applications to position the
ocular or bino viewer in the best most comfortable position.
The TSA-102S is a compact, high
quality, apochromatic, versatile Takahashi, made for the refractor
enthusiast who wants a very high quality instrument in a relatively
compact package.

FSQ-106ED
Flatfield Super Quadruplet Refractor

Description
:
Introducing the NEW Takahashi FSQ-106! The last rendition, the
FSQ106N, has long been held as one of the finest refractors on the
market for film and CCD imaging. Wide field, large image circle,
excellent color correction and a flat field were some of the
features of the previous FSQ106N.
The new Takahashi FSQ makes some significant improvements over its
predecessor. The new FSQ telescope has significantly longer
backfocus at 178mm to accommodate most CCD systems. Many CCD imagers
have additional equipment in the light path such as filter wheels,
adaptive optics, temperature control focusers and other accessories
that take up precious focus travel. The new version has additional
backfocus to accommodate most CCD equipment and even allows the use
of binoviewers!
The FSQ-106 also sports a new heavy-duty 4" focuser with a built in
camera angle adjuster. This focuser will lift up to 5kg, or 11lbs,
and includes the popular 10 to 1 microfocuser.
Takahashi has redesigned the optical system to a modified four
element double ED Petzval system. This F5 optical system is
optimized for imaging, yet it is also capable of outstanding visual
images. Use the optional F3.6 (wow!) focal reducer for imaging
applications and the optional Extender-Q for visual use at F8.
Another improvement on the new FSQ106 is the enhanced portability
due to a new sliding dew shield. The Takahashi FSQ106 is now airline
portable at only 16.7" long when collapsed! The focuser and the
aluminum castings will continue to be made one at a time for
consistent, optimal quality.

Fluorite Doublet
Refractor

Description
:
The latest telescope
model from Takahashi is a truly portable design. The 90mm (3½") f/5.6
fluorite doublet apochromatic optical system is of outstanding quality, with
a focal length of 504mm. The optical tube assembly is only 13.8" long,
weighing 7 pounds; small enough for an airline 'carry-on'. Not only is this
instrument an excellent choice for astronomy, it can be used as a portable
high-quality telescope for birding. The oversize focuser has an adapter for
2" and 1¼" diagonals, and accepts the FS series photographic adapters.

Model:
TOA-130

Description
:
The newest Takahashi refractor, the triplet TOA-130, is the
first of the new Ortho-Apochromat Series.
This 21st century innovation employs a newly designed triplet
using special elements to produce the highest order of color
correction, hence the name Ortho-Apochromat and is packaged in a
short 32” tube with the lens shade retracted.
This instrument will be offered with the classic 2.7” focuser.
For those wanting to use a medium format camera, we will offer a
deluxe 4” focuser with built –in camera angle adjuster. This
focuser, coupled with the dedicated flattener, will produce a
fully illuminated 70mm circle with a usable 92mm diameter.
The high order of color correction of the Ortho-Apochromat
Series produces images with saturated color and thanks to the
numerous knife-edged baffles, an image with amazing contrast.
The TOA-130 is perfect for visual, CCD and photo imaging. The
f/7.7 focal ratio with a 1000mm focal length is long enough,
using the LE-ED 2.8mm Takahashi ocular, for high magnification
observations of the Moon and planets and yet will produce a 2.5°
field at 20x when used with the Takahashi flat field LE-50 2 “
ocular.
Ample back focus, over 200mm from the rear cell, has been
designed in to permit the user to use a variety of CCD cameras,
color filter wheels and electronic focusers or film cameras.

TOA-150

Description
:
-
New design 150mm triplet Ortho apochromat
-
Extremely high order of color correction, absolutely color
free images
-
Highly portable with a retractable lens shade, compact tube
-
10 to 1 fine focuser and finder quick release standard
-
4” focuser w/camera rotator bearing allows 360? rotation
without losing focus
-
Optional f/5.5 Super Reducer for medium format CCD cameras and
large chip digital SLR’s
-
Oversized tube for superior baffling
-
Knife edge baffles for extremely high contrast images
-
Enhanced back focus to allow the use of any combination of CCD
camera, filter wheel, binocular viewer or 2” diagonal
The TOA-150 is the second Takahashi Ortho Apochromat to be
developed by Takahashi. It features a newly designed triplet
objective. This new design like its smaller companion the
TOA-130 is absolutely color free.
The 179mm oversized tube was used to provide superior baffling
and extremely high contrast. Knife edged baffles inside the tube
help provide this great contrast.
The high contrast and total lack of color makes the TOA-150 not
only an outstanding optical instrument, but it can be used to
make outstanding images with a CCD, digital SLR or film camera.
Framing the image or placing the ocular in a convenient position
is made simple because of the built-in camera angle adjuster
that allows the 360? rotation of the camera or ocular without
loss of focus.
The smooth heavy duty retractable lens shade allows the length
of the TOA-150 to be reduced to 38” for easy transport to remote
sites.
Attaching the Extender TOA converts the 150 into and f/11.68
planetary instrument capable of very high magnification images.
It maintains the color correction and flattens the field.

C-400
Classical Cassegrain with EM-3500 Mount
Description
:
The C-400 16" f/14 Classical Cassegrain is part of Takahashi's Observatory
Series telescopes designed primarily for research and educational
institutions. This telescope comes standard with a removable f/10.4 focal
reducer where a wider field of view is required. Because the C-400 employs
the Classical Cassegrainian configuration with a parabolic primary mirror
and hyperbolic secondary, extremely high resolution can be obtained without
sacrificing contrast or a flat field.
